Position description: Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning rooms, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and doing laundry. This position can be physically demanding and you may be required to use chemical cleaning products.

Additional description: The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation. -Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and polishing -Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards -Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies -Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits and disturbances -Report any complaints/requests with professionalism and patience -Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate -Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.

In the area: The whole island is a tourist island with lots of history and outdoor activities including; Whale Watching, Kayaking, biking, and Hiking. We are best known for being in the midst of the “Pig War”, a dispute between the British and Americans over land. This can be experienced through the cultural centers in town or via bus or bike at the actual historical sites.
