Position description: Ice Cream Sellers are responsible for interacting with customers, using ice cream machines to make customer orders, scooping ice cream, learning menu items, setup and cleanup of work space, and exchanging money with customers.

Additional description: The shop is a very busy cafe, so there are a lot more responsibilities that go into this position. Cleaning the shop. Preparing food. Cleaning outside the shop on the patio. Emptying the trash. Put away inventory Once you learn the job- In the off season or shoulder season you will work min 18 hours up to 40. In season you will work as close to 40 hours as we can schedule you for.

In the area: Nantucket is a beautiful island off the coast of Cape Cod, MA. There are many tourists during the summer, and plenty of local opportunities to interact with Americans. There are beautiful beaches nearby, and you can take the ferry to Hyannis to go shopping for the day. They can also take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Sconset is a very quaint fishing village on the other end of the island if they wanted to bike there and visit some of the light houses and do the Bluff Walk.

Provided by Host: Every year it is different, depending on the staffs schedule's. Sometimes, we do one on one events and other times, we do group outings. Some years we had a beach house and the staff could use our private beach, paddle boards, jet skis, etc. Every year it changes depending on their interests and if they have time. If all the staff has second jobs, it is almost impossible to coordinate any events or outings.
