Position description: Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning rooms, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and doing laundry. This position can be physically demanding and you may be required to use chemical cleaning products.

Additional description: Day-to-Day Duties for Housekeeping: 1. Follow a detailed checklist for each room cleaning according to Woods Hole Inn standards 2. Daily responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing rooms or other assigned areas, changing linens, changing glassware and removing debris. Specific duties include dusting and polishing, cleaning all furniture and accessories, washing windows and mirrors, removing any stains or marks from linens, towels, carpets, pillows, etc…Emptying all trash and recycling and distributing it to the proper location.

In the area: Falmouth and the village of Woods Hole have many activities that the employees can take part in. There is a film festival that takes place in Woods Hole at the end of July. There are free concerts and movies in the public parks in Falmouth. There's Jamaican night at a local farm in the area. There are historical sites to visit on the cape and in the surrounding southeast Massachusetts area. There is a bus from Woods Hole that goes direct to Boston for sightseeing and museums.
